Vertical fall arrest systems
Harcon Services Limited, can design, supply and install a number of vertical fall arrest systems, in various formats and materials, ranging from cable based, rail based or track based systems in either galvanised steel or stainless steel material.
Herewith are just but a few options at our disposal:
Vi-Go Cable Based system:
Can be installed to new or existing ladder systems, fixed to the rungs as shown below.

The Vi-go fall arrest device is equipped with a built in shock absorber device made of stainless steel, reducing the force on the workers body to a minimum in the event of a fall.
The value falls well below the 6kN limit
As the shock absorber is on the shuttle rather than the cable system the loads onto the cable are reduced when there are several users.
After a fall the cable system does not necessarily require replacement.
System is approved and certified according to EN353-1, ANSI, AS/NZS 1891.3 & GB6095-85/6096-85.
Cable based vertical fall arrest systems offer a cost effective, less noticeable and far safer option in comparison to traditional safety hoops.
Glideloc Track Based system:
Can be installed to new or existing ladder systems, fixed to the rungs as shown below.

Supplied either as a single track fixed to conventional style ladders or as a ‘Y’ spar ladder that has the appearance of a spine ladder with the fall arrest device running up the central spine.
The system can be adapted to suit many fixing arrangements and applications.
The fall arrest device is equipped with a built in shock absorber device made of stainless steel, reducing the force on the workers body to a minimum in the event of a fall.
Where fixing positions are limited, a special strengthening rail can be fitted to the rear.
One of the distinct advantages of this particular system are the top level exit/entry points. There are three styles available, one is standard vertical extension rail. The other is a radiused top section that curves and twists to allow horizontal access away from the roof edge. The third option is a pivoting turntable section.
Radiused top section. Pivoting turntable.
This system will require a vertical support fixed into the roof deck as shown above.
Using our extensive knowledge and product range Harcon Services technical team will provide the perfect solution to safe vertical access.
