The total number of fatal injuries to workers in 2006/07 was 241 as a result from falling from height. Ladders, roofs and scaffold were the most common agents associated with a fatal injury to workers.

The total number of over 3 day injuries to employees in 2006/07 was 113,083 and of these 3% (3,922) were as a result of falling from a height.
